PAUL BAKER

Paul has been engineering and producing in Vancouver for 35 years.

Paul has found the fluctuations in the Entertainment business to be beneficial and exciting. In the live arena, his work includes such wide-ranging projects as Metallica in Tuktoyaktuk, Storyeum in Vancouver, and Crosby Stills and Nash in Puerto Rico. In the studio, some highlights include The Vancouver Symphony and The Be Good Tanyas. In remote recording, The Chris Isaak Show, Ann Mortifee, Chilliwack, Great Big Sea, and The World Music Ensemble.

Paul is the founder of Bakerstreet Productions, for live events that need a special touch, and Bakerstreet Studios, to satisfy his love for working with Singer/Songwriters, Bands, and independent artists.

In 2006, he established Songfarmer to promote the music of the many independent songwriters he works with in Vancouver.

MIKE ROGERSON

Mike began training / mentoring / working for Paul Baker in June 1995. Since that time, Mike has gone from changing guitart strings and making coffee, to engineering, mixing and producingaward-winning music for the likes of The Hermit, Alpha Yaya Diallo, Be Good Tanyas, Ryan McMahon, Joe Stanton, and many more.

Being somewhat of an inhouse engineer and assistant for many years at Bakerstreet has allowed him to work in many different genres of music – from Indie Rock to Electronica, Iranian Jazz to Grindcore Death Metal. And it has also given him the opportunity to work with many different engineers and producers. This gives him a wide range of experiences to draw from, and many available elements to apply.

He enjoys collaborating with artists to help them achieve their dreams and help them bring to life the songs they hear in their head. His production mantra might be “serve the song”.
